A Quick Update…
I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of the dolls created in my October BOCES workshop. Doll 1 was created by Christine, a professional nurse by day, inspired doll maker by night! Christine really understood the painting techniques as shown in the wonderful painting job she did in the eyes and the subtle but true shading on the neck and chest. I love the wonderful hair wrap…you go girl!!! To see more of Christine’s work, go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/guidance4u/6452566655/
Doll 2 was created by Marisol. Marisol is an art teacher in the N.J area as is evident by the artful way in which she painted her doll…no holds barred! Although Marisol missed one class, she took the directions booklet I provided and went “solo” for the completion of her doll…as you can see…she is one gutsy “Chica” (Marisol is a fellow “Latina!”) Way to go Marisol!!! To see more of her artwork, visit her blog at: http://www.amarettogirl.com/
Feeling ispired yet? If you haven’t yet, why not give doll mkaing a try…you never know, you may awaken an unknown passion! Happy Doll Making!

Way to go Christine and Marisol! Gorgeous dolls! I still have not finished my rabbit, I purchased the fabric for him, but work has just been killing me. Hoping to work on him during the holidays, I hope! Merry Christmas everyone!
