“The White Rabbit” “Alice”
Looks like spring is finally here! I finally finished 4 “tea cup treasures” (above are 2…sorry, not the best pictures) and am now working on having them put up on my website. I will also be taking them to The Quinlan Artist Doll and Teddy Bear Convention next month…I am so excited!
The convention is such a great place to meet up with old friends and make new ones. The atmosphere is always lively, the sales rooms exciting and the food delicious…all at a great price! If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it.
In addition to working on the tea cups, I have been busy writing a series… 4 in all…of articles for Art Doll Quarterly. The series showcases ODACA (Original Doll Artist Council of America http://www.odaca.org/ ) as an organization and as well as some of our art talented artists. The Winter issue has been available for several weeks already and the Spring issue is due to come out very soon…check them out! ADQ always publishes a first rate magazine worth every penny.
The other thing I’m very excited about it that Schiffer Publications has included some of my ART work in their latest book The Art of the Contemporary Doll coming out in July! It’s great to hear that sooo many of my artist friends have been included as well…yay! I’ve already put in my order. If anyone’s interested, here’s a link to the Amazon page for pre-orders: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764348604/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Well, that’s all for now…
Happy Doll Making!
